Color Sticks
Description
The COLOR STICKS consist of 10 individual color schemes shown visually on each stick. Utilizing color schemes creates mood and drama in your artwork. Instead of having to figure out and remember triads, analogous split complements color scheme etc., the artists needs only to look at the ten color schemes and select one that would enhance and create the mood desired in the their painting.
The COLOR STICKS are laminated for durability and water resistant.
Included with the COLOR STICKS is an informative handout on color theory and color schemes. Shown are a few paintings done by myself and students utilizing the color sticks. Click here to read more

Shadow Sticks
Description
Did you know that we perceive VALUE, light and dark, over 500 % more than we do color. Value is essential to determine shapes, distance, texture, weather, and time of day, to name a few.………….. No wonder, light and shadow are inconceivably important to an artist to portray one's surroundings and/or abstract environments. Each vertical and compact page of THE SHADOW STICKS covers a different element of light and shadow: reflected color, shadows that conform to the surface they are on, informational shadows from outside the page, compositional devices utilizing shadows, to name a few. Each page has one or more painting examples included with the text/information. They are a wonderful device to check the consistency of your light source and its added dramatic potential.
