Here are pictures of Cathy Quiel and some of the artists that accompanied her on the workshop to Greece! Gallery co-owner Claudia Cook was feeling ill and couldn't make the reception, so husband and co-owner Paul Cook called her on the phone and all sang "Happy Birthday" to her!

In the year 2009, Cathy Quiel’s watercolor paintings have been featured in the North Light Publication Confident Color by Nita Leland, American Artist Magazine Watercolor Edition and in Watercolor Magic Magazine. Her internationally renowned watercolors are easily recognized for their high contrast, vibrant color and interesting and sometimes whimsical subject matter. Cathy’s personal view and delight of life is reflected in her work. Her work is in private and corporate collections in the US and abroad. She has taught watercolor workshops in France, Malta, Italy, Bermuda, Mexico, the Caribbean and the Greek Isles. In the month of July, Gallery Los Olivos will exhibit current work including her Greek Isle paintings from May 2009, new additions to her Baby Boomer series and paintings published in the current Spring 2009 Montecito Magazine of the Historical Casa de Maria Retreat House.
